Hello Techie Peeps, I wonder if you can help....
I've finally persuaded my boss that we need to sort out our 3 networked pc's with antivirus software and perhaps a firewall. We're currently using Norton 2004 and Windows own Firewall (can you believe it!!). I'm keen to ditch Norton (hate it passionately) as I use AVG & ZA on my personal pc and found that it suffices.
Any recommendations welcomed and appreciated.

According to an article I read today Steganos is the same software as Kaspersky but considerably cheaper. The three best in that article were NOD 32, Kaspersky and Steganos so go with one of those. The article was in PC Advisor I think. It's my problem, it's my problem

Would these be suitable for commercial use?
I'll google them anyway and have a browse0 -
An excellent small business alternative is Sophos. Info here. There's a 30 day free trial download available.

We use MacOSX. Best piece of antivirus software available. Haven't had a single virus since we got it 6 years ago!0

NOD32 as well here - also if you have an old PC knocking about (something as low as a 333mhz pentium) then have a look at smeserver - will perform many functions like webmail etc but will work as a decent hardware firewall - or failing that smoothwall is even easier. They are both pretty much shove the cd in boot and answer a few simple questions.
There should be no maybe about it for a company with regards to a firewall have a look at either the above or kerio or sygate although I don't get on with sygate but others swear by it.0 -
Another vote for NOD32 here0

Nod32 for me too. Don't use it any more (Linux user), but when I did it was excellent.
Kaspersky v6 is also worth a look. Both are excellent products."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
