Paying too much for your Underground travelcard?

Looking to renew your Travelcard soon? Double check which zone your normal station is now in as London Underground recently "re-zoned" several.

For me (Central Line - east end) it's worked out well - my local station used to be Zone 5 (yearly travelcard £1592) and is now Zone 4 (£1328) saving me £264 without raising a finger! Several stations that used to be Zone 5 have now been brought into Zone 4.

LUL don't appear to have made this particularly public, but apparently the changes took effect on 2/1/07.

My local ticket office also said that if people have existing tickets, they can claim for a refund depending on how much time is left on the ticket!

If anyone else has more information about other lines affected, please post it here!
