Afternoon
I really want to switch my bank account from FlexAccount (with non guaranteed cheque book) with Nationwide to another bank...Not only because Im going to claim over my bank charges but because I fancy a change - lol!
The problem is...I need an account which clears cheques in a maximum of 3 days as well as good internet banking facilitity where i can make weekly weekly payment (bank transfers) and finally a cheque book facility (this must be not guaranteed ... as quite basically my credit rating is very bad and i wouldnt pass a credit check for a gcheque guarantee card. Does anyone know if i can request the account to be not guaranteed when it comes to cheques.... my current bank account advertises its with cheque guarantee card...Even though mine is not? Hmmm ... strange!
Also, no overdraft required....
Does anyone have an account like this...Other than the FlexAccount with Nationwide!?
Thanks

Hi my son is with HSBC and he has a switch account with no O/D it has a cheque book and the switch is a CGC up to £100 if you went in to see them and explained that you are claiming back your charges and that it will no doult shut your account when this is done, explain your wages and everything they might give you this account or the solo account, as they give them to students who well get into debt, so why should'nt they give you one, its your money that would be in the account not theres,
