"Sigh" my wife's laptop has had to have the system restored and now she cannot connect to the internet. I use a BT Voyager 2100 wireless router which also connects this desktop and is working fine. Her machine just says no networks were found in range. I have tried using an external card which also gives the same message. The BT router has just been restored to factory settings. Does anyone know what on earth is going on. Make my life happy please.

Why did you restore your router to factory settings?
Obviously you will now have to re-enter your ISP login and wireless encryption settings into your router again. Have you done this? Is the router connected to your ISP? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

This could actually be a clue, do you have the laptop close to the router?
I've used a BT Voyager 2100 and the range is very poor.0 -
