Questions about a Lindt Hamper win.

Hi,
I received an email last week saying
"Thank you for participating in our online survey on Facebook.
We are pleased to announce that you are the winner of a Hamper packed full of delicious Lindor truffles pick ‘n’ mix worth £50!".
I was very pleased as I love chocolate. Today a large box arrived with a smaller box inside which contained 79 Lindt truffles in a load of torn tissue paper.
Maybe I shouldn't have been but I was rather disappointing to see this as I was expecting a £50 hamper.
I have since looked on their web site and can see that a box with 80 truffles in is £30 and a box with 120 in is £45. Their boxes on the site look full to the top with chocolates but the box I received looked less than half full and if I had paid to receive the chocolates like that I would have been very disappointing and would not order from them again.
I only enter comps from this site so I have checked and only found 2 comps.

Surfermom has written on here saying that she has won the first comp which is the survey one and the T & C said there was only one winner.
I'm just wondering really what would others do in this situation, normally I wouldn't bother doing anything as I could be wrong but there have been a few prizes that I haven't received over the last year.

Email Lindt & ask them about it, you've got nothing to lose.0

I agree you've got nothing to loose by emailing them....I just looked on their fb wall and someone has posted on there about a prize they won at Christmas (as in she's still eating it!).2020 wins: Petsafe Smart Feeder, Family ticket to Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live, Iconic Mascara, Maleficent DVD, Hemline Thimble Desk Organiser, Product of the Year Goody Bag, Inside Soap £50, Florette Salad, Midway DVD, Red Dwarf Bluray, Sponsor a Swan, Cosmo Subscription, Lavendar Plants, Core Balance Dome Balance Trainer, Yoga Fitness Mat, TV Choice £200

That's disappointing. I do think that some companies over glamourise their prizes with words like 'Hamper' and 'Goody Bag' which turn out to be like yours or as in my case a Make Up Goody Bag which was a padded envelope with a mascara and a lip gloss in it. Any win is nice, but sometimes they are a let down.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Thanks all.
I didn't want to be seen as making a fuss over nothing as I am grateful to win this.
I will email them and let you know what they say.
Should I email the person who sent me the email or Lindt themselves?0 -
I had the same email as you last week and what sounds like the same box as yours arrived today. I have to admit although I am pleased with it, I don't think its worth £50.
I was just going to leave it but maybe I'll reply to the original email thanking them and asking if I've received the correct prize:)
Good luck
BTW the chocolates are lovely though, my son passed his driving test today and has been celebrating by testing them:rotfl:0 -
Sorry to hear you're both disappointed with your choccie prizes. I agree with everyone else that you should email them and ask if you've got the right prize! Good luck.Thank you so much to everyone who post & help with comps! :j

Hi Surfermom,
I saw your post saying you had won the hamper but I wasn't sure if I had won the same comp as it said in the T&C that they would chose one winner, although further down it said winners are chosen at random.
If your email also said £50 then it must be from the same comp. I think the person who sent the email made a mistake and put £50 instead of £30.
I replied to the winning email earlier asking if they had made a mistake and this is the reply
"Many thanks for getting in touch; I can assure you we have sent you 1KG worth of our delicious LINDOR truffles!
However, as you are a loyal LINDT fan we will send you some of our best selling LINDOR cornets to enjoy!"
They are going to send me 6 more Lindt truffles???
She did not acknowledge the fact that I was sent a £30 and not a £50 hamper.
Please do contact them as well and maybe they will sort it out for you as well. Let me know how you get on.0 -
I won the same prize. I thought it didn't seem like £50 worth either - I got 78 truffles.
I e-mailed them and asked, and got a reply, word for word the same as yours, Matphil.
They are going to send another six cornets of truffles - that's 6 boxes, which works out about the same again as what we have already had.0 -

At least I got an extra 1 -79 for me :rotfl:
I obviously didn't read it very well I though they were sending just 6 truffles :rotfl:
This is what I'll be getting
LINDOR Milk 337g x2
LINDOR Assorted 337g x1
LINDOR White 200g x1
LINDOR Extra Dark 200g x 1
LINDOR Irish Cream 200g (limited edition) x10 -
Yep, exactly the same extras here. And I haven't got 78 any more, because we've eaten some. They are yummy
