Hi, looking for help/advice
I order a shower set from a company called heatandplumb.com on 21/2/12, it hasn't arrived so gave them a call and left an answerphone message yesterday morning also used their online query form, no one got back to me. call again this morning
checked on their website, notice saying problem with their phones from 27/2/12 and is ongoing
have seen on some web review sites people are saying they may have gone bust.
my question is, i paid by paypal would i be protected and get all my money back,
and i understand i would have to open a dispute with paypal but can i escalate the claim as soon as i have opened the dispute
thanks

It's only been 7 working days since you placed your order - have a a bit of patience. If still not arrived in another week or 2 then chase them.Learn to speak Norfolk:
Translations: Naarfok = Norfolk, Narridge = Norwich, jargon = like running, but slower, cooo = queue, how're yer gettin arn = Norfolk greeting, on the huh = Something being uneven.0 -
Provided that when you paid you either did so using an invoice or payment request supplied by the company concerned, or if you sent the payment via the paypal site, you did so using the "send money" tab and specified that it was payment for goods.
You can normally escalate the claim as soon as you've opened it, and if the goods don't turn up, you shouldn't have any problem getting your money back, although this may take a couple of weeks.
You have up to 45 days from paying to open a dispute, so there's no rush to do this yet.0 -
thanks shaun from africa, think it was a payment request by them so should be ok.
cheers
