graphics problem on sony all in one

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me with this.

Our desktop has recently developed some problems with the screen, vertical lines / colorful patterns ect have appeared all over the screen.

I called Sony support and he requested that I sent him some screenshots so that could see the lines, here is were it gets weird. So I took some screenshots, obviously they were covered in vertical lines as usual but when I opened the screenshot on a different laptop, the pictures were fine and the display looked as sharp as it used to.

Would this happen with a faulty graphic card or does it sound like a different issue?

thanks,

MBM x

Do you have another monitor you can connect to it?

As your screen shots look fine on another computer it looks like you graphics card might be OK but there's a problem with the connection to the monitor screen.

On a normal PC I'd suggest you check that the monitor cable is seated properly at both ends but on an all in one the connection is internal.

Hi, it doesnt seem to be possible to test with an external monitor, we do have one but there is nowhere to connect the cable on the all in one desktop

Grrr, looks like its a problem that is going to be very expensive to fix then as the GPU would have been fixed FOC OOW as it is a known issue.

    Thanks for replying
