Ticket Sale Dilemma! Possible freebie for a crafty Glaswegian!

Hey all,

I bought some tickets for the Killers concert at the SECC. I can't make the show, as I'm currently in London, and knowing this, I sold the tickets on Ebay.

The auction goes through, a buyer pays above the odds for them, and then the month of the show arrives. The tickets arrive with me, I whack them into the post special delivery, and forget all about it,

Then I find the tickets are returned the following day "undeliverable". (dunno exact reason as I've not yet been home to check. Possibly refused, possible no one in... But surely it must be "refused" as if no one's in then they wait at a collection office, right?)

So... What do you guys reckon I should do? I've received the money, and I've mailed the tickets, plus I've called the specified landline: no reply. This gig is tomorrow night! I would e-mail the guy in question, but as they've made no attempt to contact me, I'm wondering whether there's really any point in my doing so at such a late stage in the game?

As suggested in the title, if no one has any bright ideas, then if any of you lot live in Glagow... PM me your address! I don't want them going to waste! :)

You'll have to refund the buyer at some point... but in the meantime, he's made himself completely unreachable.

You could join the Glasgow Freecycle group if there's no choice but to give them away!

'Undeliverable' by Spec Del should normally mean the address is incorrect, IMO.

Well, this seems to have resolved itself quite neatly. Royal Mail have conceded that this was in fact their mistake. The buyer wasn't at home, and instead of being taken to a sorting office, it was returned to London straight away in error. Rubbish!

Buyer is disappointed, but we'll likely go down the compensation route with Royal mail and sort out any loose ends when we're able.

Thanks to all for your help with this!

    yeah the above is correct.

if it were the right address, then postie would have left a card quoting attempted delivery & for the addresse to pick up the packet at the local sorting office. packets stay there for 3 weeks before being re-routed to the sender.

wrong address or person not found at that address and packets are sent back to the sender within a few days.
