Cash for Clothes vent!

Argghh... so frustrated!

Sorted out all my old clothes last week and have a huge amount that can be got rid of. 12 recycling bags in fact! My husband suggested using one of those Cash for Clothes companies that pay 60p per kilo... they even come to collect it. I emailed them at the weekend and they arranged a collection for yesterday saying that they could only deliver between 9 and 5 (no specific time). Yesterday morning, I put all the bags next to the front door and waited in. At 4.50pm I received an email saying that they wouldnt make the collection that day now and instead they would pick them up at 10am this morning. It's now midday and they still havent turned up! So I've benn stuck in again all morning... what a waste of my time. I emailed the company half hour ago (they never answer the phone) asking whether anyone was actually going to turn up and no reply! I need to go out... if only I could climb over the stacks of bags in the way of my front door!

Anyway, just wanted to rant as needed to get it all out. Hate little companies like this who dont care that they wasted your time. For 60p a kilo, my time is worth more!

Give it to charity rather than some scummy company for a pittance then. They'd be more grateful for it!

Yes then the charity can give it to some scummy company for 60p instead.

I will do that if they still dont turn up today. The main reason we used them was because they'd pick them up. I dont think we'd fit all the bags we have in our car. This seemed like the easiest option at the time though now I'm regretting it. I'm tempted to tell them where they go if they do ever turn up today although that is a bit 'cutting off my nose to spite my face!' I've managed to speak to them now and they've said they dont know why he hasnt turned up yet and that they have tried calling the driver but he's not answering. What sort of company is that? He should be reprimanded. I'm wondering if there is any way I can get compensation for my time? then I'll give the compensation and the clothes to charity instead!
