Getting from International Drive Orlando to Covington Georgia

Hi all
Myself and girlfriend are going to Orlando in September. As a birthday surprise I am trying to sort her a trip to the Vampire Diaries set where they do tours.
The only problem is while we are staying on International Drive the set tours are 400 odd miles away in Georgia (Covington, GA, 30014).
Can anyone advise the best way to get there? Its an 8 hour drive both ways which id rather avoid. Flying is reasonably expensive (best I can find is £250 for us both) - is a train an option? I know very little about american transport!
Thank you
Si

I've just started entering the competitions (July 07). When I win I'll update this signature. Look on the bright side, I shouldn't have to update it very often.

How much do you known about Covington itself? It's tiny, a population of 13000, 20% of which live below the poverty line, there's no train to anywhere, from Orlando the only trains go south to Miami or north to Washington and we are talking about two trains a day. The car is about the only sensible option but before you do anything find out exactly what you can see when you get there to avoid disappointment!0

You could check if there's a Greyhound bus ( I doubt it) but it would take as long as driving. At least someone else would be doing it.0
