in Credit cards
Hi all just wanted to update my current situation on repairing my credit rating from when i was young and a bit stupid!
after having 2 ccjs both over 5 years old now and down to 3 defaults all over 4 and half years old.
I had a vanquis card now increased to £2500 limit (20months all greens)
and capital one classic increased to £800 (12month all greens)
I decided to apply for an aqua card which i did get declined for 6 months ago! And have been accepted
I dont know what limit yet as i just recieved credit agreement in post. On the bottom there was a figure of 800??
I also thought to try for the capital one progress and i have been accepted with a £1000 limit :j
finally things are coming together and getting my credit history back on track! Cant wait for the ccjs to fall off.
Thanks to everyone for all the helpful info on this forum! this is only my 2nd post!

Are you applying for more cards because you think it will make your credit file look better?
or because you want to reduce the interest you are paying? (are you paying any interest or are you paying all your balances in full every month)
or so you can use more credit (ie you overall debt will increase?
If its for the first - to improve your credit file then 2 cards with a good payment history should be more than sufficient. No lender is going to think it looks better if you have 4 active cards than 2 active cards.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
