Make another entry such as google the default by hovering over it and clicking make default, then you should be able to delete search results.

No problem. It's probably a good idea to clear all your restore points and set a new one, so if you have the need to restore in the future none of this stuff comes back.
    • Right click OTL.exe & choose "Run as Administrator" to start the program.
    • Copy and Paste the following code into the customFix.png textbox. Do not include the word Code:
    :Commands
    [ClearAllRestorePoints]

    • Then click the Run Fix button at the top.
    • Click btnOK.png.
    • OTL may ask to reboot the machine. Please do so if asked.
    • The report should appear in Notepad after the reboot.Copy and Paste that report in your next reply.

Then a 2 minute job for tomorrow if everything is running well:

    • Right click OTL.exe & choose "Run as Administrator"
    • Click the CleanUp! button
    • Select Yes when the Begin cleanup Process? Prompt appears
    • If you are prompted to Reboot during the cleanup, select Yes
    • The tool will delete itself once it finishes, if not delete it by yourself
