Me and OH have both put on a few stone last few years think it's our age, middle age spread. We don't have any other excuses like quitting smoking well I don't, OH does a bit. I'm really lucky my OH is a good cook like you but roasts are the one thing he detests. He says when I cook I just heat up things. That's because I can't resist a whoopsie that you pop straight in the oven. :D

I can't do major roasts either, I'm crap at the timing!!

    Tonights was easy.

Roasters were aunt bessies.....someone gave me them as they didn't like them. I put those, the pigs in blankets and the chicken all in one pyrex dish int he oven on gas 6.

Meanwhile I unpacked the shopping, sorted all the flowers, peeled the spuds and chopped some cauli and broccoli. By this time 25 mins had gone by. I'd boiled a kettle so filled two pans with water, spuds in one and cauli in the other. Left em 10 mins then tossed the broccoli in with the cauli. 10 mins later, mash the spuds and bung it all on a plate. Even I can managed that! :D

Not really been on for ages (skim a page or so every few days on the phone) & not got time to catch up so i know i missed some 1p sweets (thankfully) & other stuff that i cant rem.

Anyway reason i'm here is to report that a night shift worker at our beloved supermarket said that there is due to be further reductions on saturday...thats today now.

I was having a look round at the toys & he (+ his mate) were scanning & printing uptodate labels. He says come back in 1/2 hr as the toys are reduced & the labels will be up. Thanked him for the info & just chatted away when he was doing his scanning. (I knew the prices of the reductions but played dumb...they were behind other t's in the area, thankfully, cos it meant i got the kidizoom + mobigo :j:j:j). He essentially said wait til saturday as they going to reduce further or more on saturday. I wasnt going to leave the kidizoom or the mobigo till saturday...no chance.

Anyway thats what i was told & i (we'll all) find out if its a big reduction day.

Good (bargain) hunting folks & dont overfill the trolleys

Thanks guys, you're too kind! It's odd as before I stopped smoking I was a chicken a mushroom pie and chips bloke every single night. My OH was brilliant at sorting packed lunches when we went anywhere but I didn't eat much. Too busy smoking. I was 10 stones back then too.

Once I dumped the weed, I discovered an appetite then started cooking. I'm hardly the galloping gourmet but I am prepared to cook something for myself these days whereas before I wasn't. Oh, I weigh almost 15 stone now!
FK how did you stop smoking? I am about ready to try it (again) and am going to try the Allen Carr method. Or do you have any tips? TIA

Ooooh, thats interesting! I've been round 3 extras today after work and my feet are killing me, but got some toy bargains, got the kiddizoom and some other bits already mentioned to add to yesterdays bargains.

Not sure if tomorrow I'll be a)kicking myself for not waiting a day or b)getting back out there and getting even more!

hi Happy  glad you both had a good trip

.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I have been known to wake up dribbling in front of mine on occasions :o Not only dribbler in the house at mo as little granddaughter is staying for the night.

Thanks to Cosmic_Dust :Aand Neosi :Afor the Hot Chocolat and yop email heads up last night. Collected a signature choc box earlier and a couple of smaller prizes. Was going to give chocs to my sister as part of her birthday present in June, but have noticed the use by date is April . Anyone not planning on noshing their prizes straight away/or gifting them - may be a good idea to look at use by date, when collecting them, (although I know they will still be good after April) just don't want to give an out of date pressie.
