Good morning everyone. Hope you all have a good day.

Just read back a few pages and am worried sick now. :(

My mum has got a pleural effusion and doc is trying to find the cause of it. She has breathlessness and a pain in her side too.

She's had an xray and has got to go back to hospital to have some of the fluid drained and tested and will have a CT scan.

All this will be done within 2 weeks. :(

She had breast cancer almost 14 years ago. Now we're really worried that it's something serious again - and I'm panicking after reading that if something serious was suspected she would have her hospital appointment within 2 weeks. :(

Now hang on, think about this logically, if someone is having trouble breathing, it's immediately going to be an 'urgent' problem isn't it? They will automatically prioritise things like breathing or heart problems as they're the very core of our existence and they need to be looked at more urgently than say, a shadow on an x-ray that isn't causing these problems.

It's hard to think logically when you are faced with these fears but I'll bet you if she wasn't having the breathing trouble, she wouldn't be being fast-tracked xxx

It would have been better if there had been snow on the mountain but from an expert photo taker I accept that as a compliment x

    Quick SSMC question.

Just been over there I still can't print my last voucher but I seem to have 2 LTS. It wanted my name & address my facebook name was already on there I put my real name next to it, I'm now wondering if I should have deleted that & just put my real name waiting for opinions before filling in the other one. Are they really posted or e-mailed ?
