    good morning everyone:)
    I see a few people on here are from yorkshire, i am having a week in yorkshire at the end of august and never been before. All i know is MIL wants to do James Herriott tour while we are there but can anyone give me any good ideas for places to go with a 4yr old and a 3yr old that i would enjoy as well? Think we're staying near thirsk.
    TIA

    Beamish would be worth a visit I think.

    Thirsk is rather between the Dales and the Moors, but definitely try to get to the coast. If you get as far as Bridlington, then Bridlington Rock would be interesting.

    thanks, Flamingoland was in the book of days out we have, not a lot in the book really as its a book for the whole of UK so each section is quite small.

    Even the photo?can u avoid photobucket and just do a link?
    It's easier than people think to post a link from iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch etc.

    Scroll to the top of the page so you can see the address bar.

    Tap once on the address

    Then press and hold on the address

    Select 'Select all'

    Then select 'copy'

    Go to where you want to paste the link and tap once to place the cursor there

    Press and hold and select 'Paste'

    Job done.:beer::beer:

    If you go to Bridlington pick up a tourist guide they are sold in all the local shops there ate usually vouchers in them for b1g1f for flamingo land guide costs about 1.50. Scarborough is a lovely seaside town as well there used to be a Kinderland there for kiddies under 7 not sure if it is still there though not been for a while
