celebrate i am dissapointed in you. you of all people should know the dangers in speeding, it KILLS. so having to do "a silly course" should be the least you do. how would you feel if someone knocked down one of your loved ones? you would be angry, furious, and if the driver was a tad annoyed they had to do a "silly course" that would make you feel even worse wouldnt it? yes it can be frustrating keeping to the speed limit, but its the law.

oh god what have i started :(:(:(:(:( short reply but am at work so it's all your getting!!
apologies for calling the course silly, it is frustrating to have to travel to hull and take a day off work for it that's all, a fine and pints would probably be more effective for me
anyway i don't want to cause friction on the thread, the motorway was empty there were NO workmen and it was a 50mile stretch are you seriously going to mosey on at 50mph through it??? v frustrating but apologies to all that might have been upset or offended , I am not a serial speedo!!! I have had a clean licnence for 20yrs!!!:A:A:A:A:A:A

I got pulled over by the police (for texting at traffic lights, oops!) and showed my plastic driving license. I also had to go to the police station later that night with the paper part. You can replace your paper part online or over the phone with the DVLA.

    thanks for the info

Reporting in whilst enjoying a nice skinny cappuccino after the first Ts where there are no 1p chocs here that I saw mentioned - after reading I think lala's post about old stock I scanned the popping candy TCO and they are 1p - it may be old news to seasoned T's shoppers but I was so excited finding it - Artha tis in the same store as other day
  • One of my pet hates is people who speed through road works.

Protecting a workforce is what the cameras are there for and I'm all for that. We don't allow cars and trucks to thunder past people on foot inany other areas, motorways should be no exception.

I quite agree with both those points but what I find frustrating is miles of low speed limit area when the workmen aren't even there.

In fact, I can't remember the last time I saw a speed restriction because of workmen and actually saw any workmen.

I appreciate that it would be too time consuming to take away all the speed limit paraphenalia each evening and put it back in the morning but it doesn't make it any less frustrating when you have to drive slowly on a motorway to protect a workforce who are at home in bed.
If you're not scared, you're not paying attention

    Morning :)

FK - your pics from last night are stunning. You've captured the light brilliantly. I think you have a natural talent that shines through.

This morning I noticed two daffodils had burst forth, are they in bloom in anywhere else?

Our February Gold/Tete a Tete have been out for quite a few weeks now in the North East but with you being further north you are probably a couple of weeks behind us, just as we are a few weeks behind the south of England. Our normal big daffs are still in tight bud.

On average, spring takes 8 weeks to travel from Lands End to John'o Groats:)
    Awaiting a new sig

Look what I got today:T:T:T:TGlade Spiced apple are 50p and Glade Glistening snow are £1 at an Extra near you :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:We use them all the time in the office so 26 candles for £18 can't be bad, SEL for them was £2. Couldnt resist making a pretty piccie out of them, Mr Lala is dragging me out for more tonight, we use a few a week because he thinks it disguises his ciggie smoke in the office:cool:

I think maybe you should time how long it takes to drive through the roadworks at 50mph then when they are gone, time yourself over the same stretch of road at 70mph. I think you'd be surprised just how little time you lose.

I bet you lose less time driving through the roadworks at 50mph than you do sat at just one set of traffic lights!!

So easy to just cruise at 80mph for the next 5 mins to catch the time back up if you really need to.
