Best value Motability Car

Is this the right place to post? Dunno, but will anyway.

The Qashqai goes back in May, due to my condition the car needs to be easy to get in or out. What's the best sort of deal around? I have seen both the Ford Galaxy and S-Max are at around £1K AP, so that is the type of vehicle I need. I have tried getting in and out of both, the wheelchair fits the Galaxy really well, has to have the wheels off for the S-Max.

Can anyone suggest any others?

Thanks, Brassedoff

Zafira design nav, 649 ap and its fully loaded. The galaxys and c/smax are good but very very basic for what you pay. I ordered the zafira on wed. Wont come in until april/may. Imho i dont think the fords are worth the money. You get everything with the zafira xxx

Only if you can drive a manual of course. And you don't get everything, a rather tepid drive and handling compared to the Fords, Max of 125ps deisel compared to a 163 Ps S-Max, a lot more room in the S-Max, fantastic drivability and handling, and as for better spec, hmm, not so sure. certainly no heated windscreen in the Zafira, no front and rear parking sensors, no electric seat height, certainly no bluetooth pairing thats always extra an vauxhalls, but you do get auto wipes and lights and a nav pack, but if you took spec for spec then the titanium smashes the Design into the ground (at a price of course) But I would disagree that you get everyting in a Vauxhall :-)
What abot a VW Sharan or the smaller one Touran? or the C4 Grand Picasso in VTR+ spec? or the Peugeot 5008?
Personally I am down to a pick of two, the Quashqai+2 4WD N-Tec+ Auto and the S-Max Titanium auto.

We test drived the Zafira and it just felt so basic, although there was plenty of space, it wasnt very comfortable. We have gone for the C Max, folding wheelchair fits ok in the boot, and its a really lovely drive, and the AP was 249 for basic model.

Ours is going back on early termination Renault Grand scenic due to the fact that is has broken down twice in the past 6 weeks :( were getting the zafira design nav as well, The scenic had a nav and was lovely and roomy and amazing quality seating etc..but an engine that doesn't work properly lol x the ap on it is now someat like £1500 it was £300 when we got it !!
the zafira has front and rear sensors and heated seats as well as all the other extras so hopefully have made the right choice, will miss my bluetooth though :(

Mine has parking sensors and bluetooth etc. The AP for Galaxy is daft, was first choice for me if im honest, but purely on value for money id recommend zafira. Id love a Qusahqai +2 but when i took it for test drive it seemed very deceptive. Stunning to look at, but inside was very simple. Still loved it though!!! I have enough in bank to pay the 3500 AP on an automatic, just bedgrudge paying it for somat so simple. 649 for design nav zafira, lovely inside, suits me.Everyone is different, If the nissan had bigger seat no; 6 and 7 and a smarter dash, id of had it lol xx (spesh in white with ntech alloys lol) x
