Oops. Wrong salary entered when applying!

Hi, I'm wondering if you anyone has any experience with this.

I was applying for new credit card (RBS Platinum) to balance transfer my balance to 0% which I would then be able to pay off during the interest free period.

Anyway, I checked Equifax, Experian and Callcredit. (Excellent, Good, Good) my debt to salary ratio is 15% but my cards are quite high. Never missed any payments and pay more than the minimum every month.

I got rejected which is a bummer and wasn't expected, it's not the end of the world if I don't get the card, it will just save me some interest is all but I get paid weekly and entered such but it asked for what my monthly take home pay was and I think I entered my weekly. :-O

Should I write in and explain this to RBS? I can't see any other reason why they can have rejected me. (The worst thing about it is that I used Experian's advisory service which said it was highly likely that I would get accepted lol)

Anywho, like I said, I know credit's not guaranteed but has anyone else been so stupid as to enter the wrong bloody information?

Thanks for that. I've never missed any payments, I'm on the electoral roll and have lived at my address for almost 8 years. I've got to say I found it odd but hey, it's their money!

I wouldn't waste the search, remember you can always appeal and I would think this would have very good grounds to be overturned..assuming the salary mistake was the reason for rejection..
Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.

Its a good reason for it to be reconsidered - of cause no promises that the decision would be any different.

Personally would do it by writing and enclose either bank statements and/ or payslips to back up your revised information.
