Surely this is a scam?

car-sales ltd

They claim to sell repossessed cars on a pile 'em high sell'em cheap basis.
For example there is a 58 plate BMW 335d for sale, 27K miles, for £8800. That is just over a third of the autotrader price.

It does look too good to be true although their site comes up at the top of a google search in the sponsored section (I don't suppose this is relevant).

They have a link to an operator where you can speak live.
They won't take payment directly from a finance company so it seems that it's worse than you guys thought. It appears to be a rip off and scarper type scam.

Do people not use ad blockers on their web browsers these days?

I never see sponsored search results. They are always scams like the driving theory test scam that always comes up in sponsored results when you search for driving tests.

looks like a 'we get your money, you dont get the car' type scam
  • There are loads of hugely underpriced cars on the site with large text under the advert saying "This is a private sell, do not call, contact me on xxxxxx@hotmail.com" yet claiming to be traders with dozens of cars for sale, all with different email addresses on the pictures.
They are obviously scams yet allowed to stay up.
