would like a new computer, help needed please

ok so my laptop has officialy died, im officialy broke well on maternity leave anyway so s good as.
i have looked at some computers but dont understand all the different stuff and generral if theres one i like cause it looks good the its lots of money.
i dont use it for much just shopping, emails , mse, facebook an banking. actually probably in that order too lol. my eldest uss it sometimes for school work as he is in seniors. x
any advice would be appreciated. x

might be a silly question but howhas it died? - as not all computer deaths are total
and as far as what you do and what you need, really anything you can buy should be able to do that, personally i would suggest keeping an eye on places like argos ebay outlet, earlier today they had a 'reasonable' (in that it would do everything you need) laptop for around £200Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Most things on a laptop are repairable, list the symptoms.
