Genuine mistake

We recently attended a 3hr. meeting to introduce us to fostering. The meeting was held in our local council office and we paid for a ticket tp park when we came out we had a parking ticket. Surprised we read that we had overstayed the allocated time but we thought we had left 5mins to spare. Looking at our ticket we realised my husband had pressed a wrong button and purchased a ticket for one hr stay or 3hrs. disabled. It was dark wet and a genuine mistake.
