Ive just applied for the tesco credit card but i need it to pay for my insurance tomorrow. do i have to wait for the card?

Yes you will have to wait for the card.

The lender will not give your card details over the phone or via secure email.

As others have said, you'll have to wait. However, you state that you've "just applied" so there's no guarantee that you'll be accepted in any case.
