Any sign-up bonus current accounts left?

It looks as though the Halifax Reward and Santander Preferred Account deals have now expired. Is there anyone left who offers a sign-up bonus for opening a current account?

Go to your local Halifax branch, although it is not advertised often the branch has a budget to offer some form of cash incentive to switch your main bank account to them, generally £50. It depends on the criteria as to if they can offer it you, but generally if you don't have a current account with them, have direct debits to switch and a salary/pension credit that you will let them move then you could qualify. Make you enquiry around the original offer and ask them if it is coming back or words along that line....
  • Unfortunately I'm with Bank of Scotland at present, so Halifax isn't really an option branch wise. Might anyone else offer these sorts of over-the-counter incentives?

Thanks, but I'm not sure I'd quite make the £1,500 a month threshold!

You don't have to. Put £1 in a qualifying savings account to cover the monthly funding requirement. Then engineer a single transfer in of 1500 to trigger the switching bonus. (eg from another account)

Santander website still says the £100/£200/£300 switching bonus is available.

It doesn't even need to be as 1 payment, mine was split into 2 to meet the £1500 requirement.
