Can anyone recommend a reliable and not too expensive USB video input device. I'm looking for something to take the output from our (ancient) analogue video camera so that I can transfer the footage to my laptop for editing.

Look for an old Analogue TV card with video-IN on ebay. There are many Hauppauge models with the facility.0

Thanks.
Is the Hauppage stuff generally reliable as far as you know?0 -

Any of them, as long as the vendor says it has video in, and that it works.
IIRC I had this model

And when I sold it about a year ago It went for about a tenner.0
