List of common PPI associated products

Hi. I have a couple questions which I can't seem to find answers for:
1) Does anyone have a list of products for which I should check for PPI. I know it's anything where credit was involved but would like more precision please. So far I have credit cards, mortgage ASU, car purchase payments, credit agreements (i.e. interest free credit for furniture). Are there any other buckets I'm missing which will help me jog my memory?
2) I know from the MSE advice page that all I need to do is complete the form and send to the lender, but getting hold of all of the original agreements and checking for PPI clauses is going to take some (perhaps a lot) of effort. So far I have listed 11 separate products which I need to check, some many years old. Has anyone managed to successfully claim without providing all of the original documentation? I know this means that I would be submitting applications without necessarily knowing I have a case, but some items were taken over the phone, and honestly, I cannot remember what was said when I took out.
Thanks..

I today have started a claim for a loan I paid off and finished in 2002. I had no paperwork, I just rang the company and asked for my reference number, which they had!!! They gave it me, I then hung up and went through again that time going through to the PPI section and filed the claim!
My head is like yours now, wondering what others I had. I do remember one, but when I went to ring them, their company no longer existed so not sure where to go with that one!no longer miserable in debt.... :T but dont know how to change my id!!:beer:0 -
Hi again, I just rang LLoyds Tsb as I remembered also having loans with them going back 10 years, they checked my accounts and gave me my loan account number and again 2ppi's!!
also just rang mbna, they checked out 10 year old accounts from name, d.o.b and address at time.
So no paperwork is neededno longer miserable in debt.... :T but dont know how to change my id!!:beer:0
