Mis-sold Income Protection cover?

I have had many consolidation loans through the Royal Bank of Scotland over the years, and in 2005 when consolidating an existing loan with them, I was "advised" that I should be taking out Income Payment Protection through Norwich Union Healthcare (now Aviva) to cover my debt commitments should I become unemployed for any reason. Does this constitute mis-selling and am I entitled to make a claim for this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

No, why would it? What's wrong with them advising that, seems to make good sense.0

The fact that its multiple consolidation loans which would indicate that you're struggling with finances even with your current income and would drown if you lost your job would also make it good sense to offer this.0

Seems logical and good advice.Does this constitute mis-selling and am I entitled to make a claim for this?
