Not sure if anyone can advise?
I have a 4 year old AEG washing machine ( not sure of the precise but can get it if needed)
Yesterday it was going to spin cycle and it jumped about 3" off the ground !!
It then shut itself down !! ssafety feature !!
I restarted it and it did it again , it had a large bath towel in it , but the limit is meant to be 9kg !!!
Anyway , if i open the door the , the internal drum seems to move around very easily , i removed the top cover for alook and all springs seem connected
So is it time to replace or is there any adjustment or balancing i can do to stop the bouncing !!
Any help be very greatful !!
many Thx
Paul

was the towel the only thing in it? My machine jumps around if it has a partial load. Usually if you redistribute the washing around the drum it can help...0

One towel isn't enough load. The drum gets unbalanced and it won't spin. Ours does the same on smaller towel loads.0

thankyou for the replies,
Yes it was one large and heavy towel especially when it was wet !! it was all lumped up together too !!!
I thought it was because it was so heavy ,and best to wash it alone as not to over load the machine? !!
So should i put more in there , its 6 kg drum ,
I have read the manual , but nothing to suggest putting single large item in !!
Manual here , i notice it says Electrolux , i guess AEG sold out !!!

wooow ok thx , will try larger load
I also read that if the machine is on a suspended wooden floor as mine is ,its agood idea to put a firm base under the machine , also to check that the machine is upright with a spirit level
will be doing a large load tonight and will update
thx again0 -
I bought these http://shop.electrolux.co.uk/node544.aspx?wscid=16&wssubcid=1&wspartno=50291828007
I have an AEG machine on a suspended floor, they stopped the vibration by about 80%.
