Store Card - Default Credit Removal

in Credit cards
Hi all
I've just recently obtained my credit file and I've noticed several instances of default on my Santander Burton Store Card over the last few years. After checking with Noddle / CallCheck they say they tried to remove them but Santander say I was late with the payments of 15 days at a time.
Looking back, the reason for this was due to issues with their automated phone system and that when I checked with them (spoke to an offshore agent) they apologised and took the payment there. Obviously this doesn't seem to have been linked up and the stamp was put on my file.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar and is there a standard template for store cards in situations like this that I can write to Santander?

Defaults are not normally there just for late payments.
They are usually for non payments, have you got all your facts right.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Sorry I meant missed payments (they were up to an hour late)0

So could you go back and edit your post because the 'hour late' post doesnt make sense.
Did you pay them or not,
Defaults will not be removed for 6 years unless the company who put them there made an error in the default process.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Sorry - I'm making a !!!! up of this (the perils of multi-tasking)
I had two instances on my file of 'late payments' and when I questioned the credit agency - they stated that there were instances of payments being 15 days overdue.
However I paid them and believed to have paid them on time. At the time (over the phone) they recognised that there was a system error and took payment then. I imagine that they never took the late payment flag off my account.
I'm concerned in case this affects any credit issues.0 -
There must be something wrong, defaults just dont happen for late payments.
They happen if you contnually dont pay at all after they chase you and chase you. Only then do you go into default.
The defaults may be for something else. I would contact them and ask.
Get everything in writing.
And if they have made a mistake, stand your ground. And if they agree that they have made the mistake
also claim compensaton, it will only be £50/100 but worth asking for.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I don't understand how a card account can be defaulted multiple times.
The idea of late payment markers (or defaults for that matter; perhaps you are confusing late payment markers with defaults) for one-hour late payments is nonsense unless the payments were all made at 0100 on the day following the payment due date.0
