Advice on BB set up please

Hi got my new sky router and am wanting to set it up in the lounge, my question is is it ok to plug the filter into the extension line and adsl into that, or should i put filter into the socket and run adsl extension as well as phone line extension into the lounge? I stupidly thought I could use a lan cable from socket to router not thinking that that wouldn't connect to phone socket, so now have 20m of that, doh!

ideally you want NO phone extensions in your setup at all....look here for advice:-
