We had a 50p gas meter and a £1 electricity meter in 1985!!
The first house I bought had 5 £1 electricity metres - one in each of the rooms that had been let as bedsits. That was in 2001! I used to carry a quid in my pocket and keep feeding it through and getting it back out as I went from room to room!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
