HSBC Flexi Loan PPI help

Hi,
I had a HSBC Flexi loan back in 2000 and paid it off in 2004. Unfortunately I am no longer with HSBC and have no paperwork with the account number. I am sure that I had PPI as I remember the loan being never ending and was really missold PPI and the wrong type of loan aswell as I was only 19 and didn't really understand what I was signing up for. Has anyone any ideas how I could claim back the PPI? To date I have tried phoning HSBC but they couldn't do anything without an account number. I have asked my current bank LloydsTSB for a copy of the cheque which I sent to pay the loan off as they said that may help. Could I write to the bank ask for statements & T&C if I include £11 payment? Also in the mean time I have moved and changed my name due to marraige - would I need to include copies of my marriage & birth certificate? Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
