Hi there
just wanting to pick your brains.
Ages ago I entered for one of virgins 10th birthday tickets. As i never heard any more from them I figured that i hadn't been successful. I am going to london to see my friend and had to book the tickets before they got any more expensive so last thursday i booked a return.
This morning two free tickets from virgin plopped through my letter box - for exactly the same date!!!! I can't believe it.
I can't get any money back for the ticket i have purchased as they are non refundable.
So I have three tickets for the same journey :rotfl:
Is there anyway to sell the ticket I paid for? or get some money back?

Not a lot you can do, I have had a similar problem before with tickets I didn't need, you're not allowed to sell them but I managed to put them on eBay before the auction was ended on a 3 dayer.2p off is still 2p off!0

Have you tried speaking to somebody in customer services? If you explain the situation they may be nice and give you a refund. (probably in vouchers, but better than a slap in the face eh?)
I had a problem with booking duplicate tickets due to an error on the website and was able to do this.0 -
Is there nobody that you know who wants a cheap London ticket?
As far as I am aware there are no names on the actual tickets so anyone could buy them from you - who would know?0 -
Hi,
I am in same situation.....
Applied for Birthday giveaway tickets from Virgin and heard nothing. As its my partners birthday in March I booked travel & accomodation for Lake District last week before it got too expensive/ acc. was booked up.
Yesterday the tickets to Oxford turned up.
I know its a Freebie but its so annoying not to be able to use the Oxford tickets as thats where we really wanted to go but can't afford it usually.
Seems theres nothing I can do & they'll go to waste.
