not understanding BIN?

Having had an email exchange with a potential buyer I wonder if there are people out there who misunderstand what a BIN item is?
This buyer, who is not a newbie (90+) emailed me a few days ago rather abruptly complaining that she was watching my item but I had pulled the listing before it ended and she was a bit upset as she had intended to bid. I checked my account as I thought I only had BINs listed, and sure enough it had been a dutch bin and the last item had sold the previous day. I emailed back and explained this and she insisted that it could not have sold as she had seen it had several more days to go.
After a few more exchanges, and a sort of apology from her it appears she thought she was watching an auction and she's blaming ebay for not being clear that the item was available for immediate purchase.
I've just checked out a few BINs and to me it is very obvious that the items can be bought immediately, has anyone else had problems with buyers not understanding what BIN auction is?

I sell nearly all my items using BIN and have never had anyone say they had a problem, having said that though, when it comes to eBayers, nothing surprises me anymore.

I think that it's multiple item listings that confuse people, it confused me, as I had not come across one before. when I saw what I thought was one lot of 4 thermostatic valves, I bid and won only to find that I had only got one , I had to sheepishly explain to the seller that I had wanted all four so we did a deal and he sent them to me. I had just assumed that multiple item listings meant that the seller had lots to sell, to me, if something is advertised as a group, i.e. a set of 4, then that's what you get."There is a light that never goes out"0

I do find Dutch auctions a total mystery, but Soolin's buyer had to have been TSFE.My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

But on BIN multiple item listings, you have to put in the quantity you want before you confirm the transaction?

Hi
I recently had a BIN and on the last day I received an email from a potential buyer asking me how much I would accept for ending the listing early (it was a BIN of 99p!!!!!).
I replied honestly and explained she only had to click on buy it now and the item would be hers for 99p.
I heard no more and the item didn't sell! She clearly wanted to pay more. ROFL
There's nowt as queer as folk!!
