I dont know anything about Tobago tbh, I have never wanted to go myself, so have no idea how good a deal it is or the safety aspects.
I'm assuming that flight prices alone are in the £500-£600 region same as the rest of the caribbean?
I just thought I'd post incase anyone fancied it

Yes, as I said it seems a great offer.

A friend's son-in-law was there for some sort of conference/event and was murdered. It was then I found about the murder capital thing- though it was a few years ago now and it may have changed. You never really think about these things till something happens close t o you (sort of) and then when you investiagte you discover all sorts. Still, if we knew everything, we'd never go over our doorstep!

Trinidad + Tobago does have a high per capita murder rate, but you really have to put it into context of where you are and what you are likely to be doing.

If you are likely to spend the whole week in your Tobago All Inclusive resort then you probably have a better chance of staying alive than a curious independent visitor to the wrong part of St Louis, Missouri.

Quite, yes - although the person I mentiioned above was in a tourist area and accompanied by several other conference delegates whe he was killed.

I've been to Rio and I've been to Jo'burg and I'm not dead yet.

I was in Trinidad a few yrs ago watching the England Cricket Team. The people who were running our accom said the worse place was Trinidad. Could have changed.
