Hi,
My IVA was complete March 2011 but I have just recieved a letter from a company called Simply Credit Claims offering to discuss the possibility of some kind of compensation package.
I am obviously very sceptical about this and would like to know if anyone else has had a similar letter.
Any help would be grateful.

Not had one of those, but I would love to know the basis for their claims, and how they seem to know of your situation (seems a bit labourious, screening the Insolvency Register for "drop offs").
Seems to be quite a mis-selling / compensation industry growing of late. Eventually I imagine you will get letters advising you that you could have been mis-sold a mis-selling solution !!!0 -
Had a similar letter, after completing my IVA at the same time. When I called them up to ask where they got my details they refused to give them to me.
I've contacted the Information Commissioner about them, and their refusal to supply me with details of where they obtained my data.0 -
Its a PPI thing, there is a thread on the bankruptcy board about them, seems that they are also doing IVA'sHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0
