Why not use a company like HL or Best Invest? They have trackers with lower charges and complete flexibility to switch between companies.

1% is very high for a UK tracker, some are as low as 0.1% now

Any ISA will allow you to withdraw when you want.

thanks for your reply its either them or virgin money as they charge 1% or under yearly.

also you can withdrawl your funds when you want

Well, HSBC trackers are down at 0.3% annually, for example. Vanguard trackers are cheaper, though available on fewer platforms (or require very large sums to buy direct).

And you should be able to withdraw your funds from pretty much any managed fund, tracker or otherwise, any time you want. (Well, a few days notice at least.) But you probably shouldn't be investing if you are likely to need money at short notice : market might be down that month.

I've been investing in PEPs and then ISAs since the late 80s, and have never withdrawn so much as a penny from any of them. They will continue to remain untouched well into retirement, and we might even continue subscribing every year.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.
