Perhaps you would like to refer to the MSE Newbie alert !
What newbie alert?
Although being a newbie doesnt allow you to get away with trying it on/committing fraud.Could it be possible, do you think, that on one agreement I can't remember and on the other I know I did????? Really appreciate the allegations of trying it on, you've treated my request for advice more as an opportunity to post your opinion to list me as a 'fraudulent complainer'.
three people have commented that your complaint appears to be a try-it-on. Have you perhaps considered that is how you are coming across. Your comments do read as that and we only comment as we see it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
The Newbie alert on the side of all my posts that asks you to be especially nice and give me a chance!
Surely, if I am 'trying it on', as you so pleasantly put it, then the company I would be 'trying it on' with simply wouldn't process the claim. It is only if I have a valid claim that I would be successful. However, I cant progress my claim without first reviewing the documentation.
I should add I completely oppose and protest at people calling me a 'fraudster'. All I have asked for is help in obtaining copies of my agreement. That is not fraud. Speaking hypothetically, if I obtain copies of my agreements and there is PPI involved, to further investigate whether it was mis-sold is not fraud. If I obtain copies of my agreement and there is no PPI involved, that it not fraud either. I am not seeking to obtain funds by deception, I am merely trying to obtain copies of my documentation. Please go and victimise someone else.0 -

There isnt on the forum skin I use.Surely, if I am 'trying it on', as you so pleasantly put it, then the company I would be 'trying it on' with simply wouldn't process the claim.
The company is required to look at your complaint and incur the cost of doing so. A cost they will pass on to other customers in future. However, I cant progress my claim without first reviewing the documentation.
Why? If you know you were mis-sold then what does asking for the documentation get you?I should add I completely oppose and protest at people calling me a 'fraudster'. All I have asked for is help in obtaining copies of my agreement. That is not fraud.
Your contradictions have given that impression. What do you think a complaints handler would do if they saw the same. Noting that two of the people responding this way are experienced in dealing with complaints.Speaking hypothetically, if I obtain copies of my agreements and there is PPI involved, to further investigate whether it was mis-sold is not fraud.
So, unlike your post #8 where you say you were mis-sold you are now reverting back to your position in #1 where you dont know if you were mis-sold or you even had it.Please go and victimise someone else.
It isnt a case of victimising you. Its a case of pointing out your inconsistency and how it can work against you and what it makes you look like. You have four people on this thread doubting you and none supporting you. You may have been mis-sold and entitled to get your money back. You may be trying it on. We dont know. We can only go by what you are saying and that will go for any complaint you make as well. If the complaints handler saw this thread as your complaint then they would come to the same conclusion.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You shouldnt post in someone elses thread with an unrelated question as it is considered rude (its like trying to talk over the top of someone else and it isnt fair if your question takes the thread off topic). If you need to know more information then create your own thread. However, a quick response to your question would be to supply them with your evidence that supports your allegation against them.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I'm trying to find out if the agreements I had with these companies had PPI included or not, as I don't remember.timmybear: yes I do remember being missold - along the lines of if you don't take the PPI you don't get the finance/loan/whatever
dunstonh: no there isn't anything wrong with having PPI, but there is if it was missold which I believe it was.I should add I completely oppose and protest at people calling me a 'fraudster'. All I have asked for is help in obtaining copies of my agreement. That is not fraud.
You havey said you are looking to pursue a complaint about the sale of a policy which you do not know (and therefore may not) even have existed.
I am not defending those who are being victimised with unsubstantiated allegations. Please go and victimise someone else.0 -
