Balance transfer

in Credit cards
I have recently applied for a balance transfer credit card and have had it declined. This has never happened before and the reason given was due to my credit rating. Having checked this with Experian i find that my rating is excellent and no searches have been made for well over one year. The only reason i can think of is that i am a new business starter, 2 months. Does anyone know of any companies that will issue a balance transfer credit card to someone in my position. I need to transfer approx £3500.

You mean you are only very recently self-employed?
I think you will struggle to get a new 0% BT card if thats the case - as you won't have any proof of current income, and would be considered high risk.
Who did you apply to today? Your own bank might be slightly more likely to lend if they can see you are drawing regular amounts from your business at a similar level to your previous income (were you employed before you set up your recent business?), but I still doubt they'd accept you based on what you have posted.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
