Bath Panel and Plinth fitting

I've been asked by a friend to replace the cracked plastic bath panel with a solid oak wooden one. He's purchased it, and it comes in 2 parts, the panel and a plinth. No instructions cames with it, and looking at various images on sites, I'm not sure where the plinth should go. Is it fitted behind the panel or in front of it? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

They are normally fitted behind teh panel. But depending on how haigh the panel is in telation to your bath will determine whether you need to use it at all.

  • When you screw them together, remember to use screws that are NOT TOO LONG. Also, run a bead of silicone along the joint to seal it.

OP - for the avoidance of doubt thats because you screw the plinth to the panel from the back NOT from the front so that the screws don't show. Too long and you'll get nice little sharp pointy bits sticking out just right to catch your toe (or whatever) on.
