This might give some of you QVC fans a laugh. For a while I've been reading posts about Laura Geller "spackle" and I've thought, surely they mean "sparkle" and there has been a spelling malfunction? When I saw the same thing repeated on posts by several different posters, all of whom I've noted have good spelling and grammar, I googled it and found that it is indeed called spackle. Oops. It looks rather good actually, but resisted buying it!

A UU: Di Palomo hand cream in orange blossom, honey and olive scent. It was a gift from a friend and the only place I've seen it for sale is John Lewis. It was lovely and made my hands very soft. WIBA? Yes, although not until my hand cream stash reduces further. I have about 5 l'occitane minis to get through. When my husband goes away his gift philosophy seems to be "buy hand cream"!

Some things also spluttering. I am well excited. And a bit pathetic for being excited......

Oh yeah, meant to say, apparently Bicester village near Oxford is a fantastic outlet place. I have never been, although it is not for the want of trying.

Right - some IN's to report with my Avon stuff this week. 2 Day creams from the Solutions range - 1 Gentle Botanicals and 1 Hydra Radiance - on offer to reps for £2 each, so a bargain worth snapping up. Then 2 x Planet Spa body scrubs which I got as freebies by combining orders. I'm approaching the point where work levels means I will start thinking about packing in the Avon stuff, so some stocking up might occur before that happens! The challenge is working though - time was, I would have bought half a dozen of those day creams, "because they were cheap" and then half would have got wasted through getting too old.

JARUS - what did you decide to do about the BS offer? I intended replying to your post but ran out of time.

Hi only just managed to come on for first time this week. I am feeling very virtious as I didn't succumb to the body shop offer. I went into the body shop in town and tried out the face base and mascara and decided to leave it at the moment.

I would quite like some of the clarins, clinique or estee lauder make up so may go into town at the weekend to one of the department stores and ask to try.

I did buy 2 x cosmopolitan to get all the freebies - not so good

Hugs to all needing them, even when we know someone is suffering, it's so hard to say goodbye, isn't it? Hope your Uncle continues to recover Kaz. I saw your mention of how a Scottish forumite had helped you, it lifts the spirits to know that there are selfless people around who are glad to help.
UU's John Frieda Conditioner 50ml that was with the foam hair colourant I used a while back. WIBA? Being JF it's probably available for a hefty price tag. I'm not sure if I would buy it, it looked good for a while but is perhaps too heavy for my fine hair.
Other UU Mystery night cream that I was given to trial. I'm not a great fan of night products, and whilst this was less heavy than some, I wouldn't buy it.

Okay, time to give a verdict on the Sure Women Maximum Protection that I got through BzzAgent. This isn't a totally new concept, but it's been re-launched very effectively - a cream in a twist-up dispenser, forced through holes resembling those in a garlic press. This leads to little beads of cream being applied smoothly and evenly to the skin.

I discovered why the recommendation is made that it be applied before bed when it marked a black T-shirt that I put on straight after my morning shower when the cream hadn't dried fully. However, my fault for ignoring the instructions.

It is exceptionally effective, and has the advantage of having a really, really pleasant smell. Compared with other super-efficient products on the market, the fragrance is what makes it a winner. With many of these products the product almost smells worse than the problem.

For me, I don't have a lifestyle that gets me perspiring heavily; not at this time of year anyway. Come the summer I would think of buying this again. It isn't cheap, but having to apply a less efficient product 2 or 3 x daily doesn't work out cheap either. This has a claim of 48 hour protection and I've no doubt that it can do it too.

It's best applied before bed, as mentioned, rather than after a morning bath or shower. It doesn't replace my current very efficient product, but may well go alongside it in future.

Can't get my stupid signature to add this bit - apparently I have 6 lines already - last time I counted it was 4!!! so --Number of UU's in 2012

If you look at your signature, it seems to have a bit of a gap underneath it. Is it possible that you have two returns under your typing?

No further UU's for me. Tiny little bit of toothpaste left in the tube. Hopefully tomorrow. Still trying with TBS she whip. I keep turning it upside down and some so and so keeps righting it before I get there so I have to use something else and turn it upside down again! This could go on forever :rotfl:.

It's gorge Evilsquid but $98!!!!! Big bucks for a cosmetics bag, no?

    Is very cute though.

its prob going to be about £70/£80 over here i reckon. to put in in perspective though, last year my bday presents were the bobbi brown peony and python palette (still barely used) and the peony and python make up bag with mini brushes, bronzer (used about 4 times), gel eyeliner (about 5 times) and lipgloss (about 5 times). the only thing i used out of them is the bag because it was the perfect size for my handbag and that whole haul was pushing £90.

Body Shop Brazil Nut Body Butter - WBA I love the smell of this, is truly momentous that I've actually finished a BS body butter, it's literally never happened before!! Normally I use some, get bored, fling it in the back of the cupboard and forget about it until it eventually goes off and ends up in the bin!! I'm sure this change is down to this thread so thanks everyone :D

I currently looking for dupe of Ruby and Millie Cosmetic Sponges, they were discontinued ages ago and I'm on my last one now :( Any suggestions anyone??
