Oops, forgot about my thread. Well Midland Heart said we can't claim RTB or anything else, they even made it sound like they wouldn't even sell the house at market value. So we're stuck with increasing rents in a house we've lived in most of our lives.
There was a slight glimmer of hope 2/3months ago when I saw this http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-16440102 but I guess after today's update on the RTB scheme, Housing associations aren't included (well I can't find any mention of it). Guess we'll just wait and hope rents come down because another £10-£20 a wk increase and that's us homeless I think unless we cut down to 1meal a day.
Thanks for the help anyways guys

Surely, if things are that tight, you are entitled to housing benefit or other support to help pay the rent and rates (I mean council tax)? Have you checked out what you might be entitled to on one of the online facilities?Have you double checked if you are entitled to any benefits? Put your details into the Turn2us online benefit calculator to see if you are entitled to any housing benefit or other benefits.
Is your mum retired? Are you in employment? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
