<snip> Graham White are famous for sending thousands of these letters and then never having one single claim heard in front of a judge.<snip>
And the Solicitors Regulation Authority are investigating them for doing this. Don't hold your breath, though, It took the SRA years to finally deal with ACS Law.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Hi
I was reading the various threads on this forum when the post arrived 10 minutes ago - guess what? 1st letter from Graham White/Solictors received, that is, Michael Sobell at the same address as Roxburghe Debt Collectors.
Total additional costs £207.25 ("for illustrative purposes only"), judgements registered against us seriously affecting our credit in future etc, etc.
Will not be replying of course.
Want to say thank you to everyone posting here - I would have paid up or been quaking in my boots if I hadn't read these threads and Pepipoo's.
Incidentally, the 2nd letter from Roxburghe was dated 19/7/12 stating we had 10 days to get in touch - we received it on 28/7/12. Gave us a lot of time didn't it? Not that we intended getting in touch but that's beside the point.
One again, a big thank you for all the info and advice posted here:).0 -

We see that A LOT.
Waaaaay too much for it to be a coincidence.

They do it to panic people and they hope you get in touch with them complaining, and confirming they have the correct mark. But as you can see the graham white side of things is just roxburghe pretending to be solicitors, it's so widely known now that it baffles me why they bother, it also assumes that the recipients are utterly stupid.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Hi everyone
Just received 2nd letter from Graham White Solicitors (aka Michael Sobell) which is "FINAL WARNING" letter.
Checked the Stickies and the letter appears there several times so we will carry on ignoring. It's the one stating Civil Procedural Rules 31.16 - Disclosure before Proceedings Start.
Thanks to everyone who posts here for the reassurance and advice.0 -
Section 31 of The Civil Procedure Rules "applies to all claims except a claim on the small claims track."
Parking charge cases are heard in the small claims track of the county courts.
In fact, we've just noticed that one company has changed this letter and it now mentions Section 52 of the County Courts (ie. that’s where you’ll end up, if you don’t pay us) Act.
For the record, Section 52 of The County Courts Act (1984) “relates to impounding or seizure by the court of property subject of an action and to obliging a potential party to proceedings to produce documents.”
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Oh yes, we know that letter! It has been used for years but more and more poeple like you are wise to their rubbish now. Carry on ignoring.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
