make offer

What's this method of ebay bidding all about then?

option to buy it now, or make an offer, at the end of the listing is the highest offer a winner or can it just be refused? Do you get to see the offers that have been made during the listing period?

  • yep you can set the period of time to however long you want and you have to accept or refuse the offer within that time frame.

If i use this option i usually set it to 48hrs - that gives me a chance to see if any more offers come in within that time and also it doesnt make the buyer (offerrer) wait too long for a response. It is good if you want a bit more flexibility but dont want to risk losing the item to a low auction price.

    I hope that helps!

  • And no the highest offer doesnt win unless you manually accept their offer!

  • I don't think I had the option of setting a time when i listed best offers at the weekend - is there a default that it would have set itself to? thanks

I too didn't realise there was an option for setting the time limit on offers?
