how do you know what fund managers have in their funds

how do you know what fund managers have in their funds ? is there a site etc that has details of fund managers movements etc ?

    The fund managers have to publish accounts of the fund. Assuming you are not interested in professional tools, you could check out morningstar or Trustnet. Most of the major funds have a breakdown available.

    Fund managers are only obliged to detail their top ten holdings. The rest can be broken down into sectors, regions and weightings but not specific companies.

    thanks the only way i know how to do it is by x-raying at mornignstar and there you get the funds that hold the same companies, but thats all you get :( but thanks for your replies i shall look into it futher

    Have a look at trustnet, you can at least find out the ten biggest holdings and get a feel for where the fund is investing -
