Are you off to Disneyland, Florida, some advice - photo's....

Not sure who else is aware of this but we wasn't and have come home disppointed so thought it was worth a mention on here.

When you get to the parks for the first time you will get given a Disney Photo Pass - you can also have a band that you wear and the pass is scanned each time the Disney Staff take a photo with their camera - it then goes into a 'file' for you. Have as many pics taken as possible by the Disney Staff that have the cameras as you can - they are everywhere so you'll probably get scenery shots as well. They are taken with a good camera - has we known this we would nothave carried the huge camera around with us.

We got a pass on the first day and had a few pics on there taken on odd days - we wrongly assumed that we would have the pics taken and we would get home and have to pay an arm and a leg for them each. Well, we just logged onto the Disney site and you can get them all for $125 plus shipping of $6 (around £70). You can edit the pics and add graphics, crop or rotate them and in the end we got 45 pics for the money we paid - some for us and some for the kids albums, but carry a small camera (you will need a 400 ISO for the night shots - big mistake I made!!) and get these guys to do the decent ones of you and the family, get the disc (before or after you come home - you can do them on your home PC or get it from Disney) and you'll get lots of nice, decent pics for that one price - otherwise they are $12.95 each. I can't believe it and am gutted that we did not have more taken there - we kind of assumed that we would have to pay for them all indiviually but you don't. Get the dic and take it off to Asda who charge 14p a print to print them from the disc. If you don't get a pass on your first day then ask for one and here is the website where you are able to view them and also add the graphics like the year and Tinkerbelle sprinkling magic dust over you - plus you can keep the original so you can have one for your album and for your kids albums (if you have any of course). We bought 3 albums, one for us and one for each of the kids where we added pictures of them on their own doing things or with us, so they have something to remember the holiday with. I had to share this with you all as I did not know about it - get the pass and get as many pics as you can on it, you can always delete the ones you don't want to check the site when you get home and choose which ones you want or to edit.

  • you paid £70 for 45 pic's?
  • Yes, this time we did. We spent a lot of money on the holiday - having something nice to remember it with was worthwhile and the pictures are for the kids and their little albums - something special to remember it by.

However you can get 100's or even 1000's of pics for £70 on a disc - whats more you can them go edit the ones you have and add little extras on like logo's signatures of the characters so you can get some for yourself and then edit the ones you want for the kids. As I said, we was unlucky in not realising they offered this service at the time which is why I wanted other people to know they had this disc available - but this time yes, we paid £70 for 45 pics. However, it's not as bad as the £7 each they would otherwise be though if you did not buy the disc!! At least this way we can get them all and not just a few pics because they cost too much. I think it is a good service they are offering anyway and I'll be getting more next time on disc for that price!!
