re-using storage heater wiring?

Options
Hi all,

Sorry if it's a stupid question :o but is it possible to re-use wiring that previously serviced a storage heater for a plug socket (or a double plug socket if that makes a difference!).

I had a storage heater, prior to having central heating installed, and when the CH was put in, the plumber got an electrician to blank the socket and take away the heater. This blanked out socket is the other side of the room from existing plug sockets, and I would like a plug socket there, so re-using it (if possible) would be ideal. The storage heaters were on a separate circuit from the plug sockets and lights if that helps.

And for the knowledgeable amongst you, you'll probably be relieved to hear I don't plan on doing any of this myself! I just wanted to have an idea whether it was possible before asking an electrician!

TIA,
Jx
