Hi
I am studying part time for a level 3 diploma in reflexology. This is a privately run course and I have paid £1350. I also need to buy some equipment to help me complete my case studies, I was made redundant in Oct 06 and have a school age son. My husband works but is only on £17,000 per annum. I applied to my LEA for a grant , but they refused as the course is not being run by a university.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can receive a little bit of financial help? Either through grants, loans or sponsorship
thanks in advance

Is there a national association of reflexologists, or some sort of society that represents alternative therapists, a professional body or something like that? Sometimes they offer discretionary hardship grants to students ... they can be hard to find but it's worth a try.
Also, does the college running your course have any kind of hardship/access to learning fund? If so, you could apply to there.0
