Rejected by Tesco

in Credit cards
Hi,
I applied for a Tesco credit card online and they approved me for a £2500 limit only for a few days later be declined by post. My Experion credit report is fine barring a missed payment on another card. This black mark was actually NatWest's fault as the wrong minimum payment was shown on the website when I went to pay, so I paid on time, just not enough. I phoned up NatWest immediately and they agreed to drop the late payment fee and the matter was resolved happily. Although it seems I still have a black mark which is affecting my ability to get credit. Can I get this mark removed?
I will be appealing this decision is writing as I think it's a bit unfair, even though I do not know the precise reason why I was rejected.
Any thoughts?

Only Natwest can remove your late payment if they have agreed it's their fault then speak to them about removing the late payment. However every lenders criteria is different and your late payment may or may not have made a difference and Tesco don't have to tell you either. Wait a while and try another lender.0
