What is the best way to do a photo presentation ??
I was going to use powerpoint, but never having used it, I wondered if there was a quick and easy way ? I vaguely remember there being a step by step workshop for power point in computeractive magazinre, but I don't seem to have that issue anymore
It's for 300 + photos to be given at a travel club, so windows picture viewer won't cut it -it has to look semi decent.
If anyone has any links to workshops / ideas / free software downloads, it would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance

I am not scared of powerpoint, just can't seem to find a tutorial on it. I tired to do one 'blind' - just playing around, but when I added a template, it added it to every page and confused me, so thought I should read a tutorial on it first

As you already have Powerpoint no need to mention Pictures to Exe then
http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/index.html
Create slideshow. Article about first steps to create simple slideshow
Video slideshow. Create professional-looking videos from your photos.
And is only limited to 10 pictures until you buy it ....Rich people save then spend.
Poor people spend then save what's left.0 -
A quick way is to open a new (blank) presentation. Go to Insert - Picture - New Photo Album. You will then be asked to insert from file/disk. Choose the appropriate one and select all pictures from the file by clicking on the first, hold down the shift key and click on the last. This will put each photo onto a separate slide then it is up you how much time you spend on slide transition effects, etc.
My only comment is that 300 slides may be too many for a presentation. I try to keep to around 100 slides maximum. You will have to be quite ruthless in cutting the number down but 'quality rather than quantity' is the golden rule.
Hope this helps. Best wishes for a successful show!!0 -
Hi. sorry don't have a link to a tutorial but I do use Powerpoint quite regularly. I don't consider myself an expert but can probably talk you through the basics! I usually start with a blank presentation rather than a template and I can add what I like then on each slide. You need to go to slide layout on the right and choose the one you want. If it's just a picture then you would need to pick the 2nd on the left in the section called content layout. If you hover your mouse over the slide it will tell you what you can put in it. If you choose the one I suggested you can either keep the title box or get rid of it by selecting and then pressing the backspace key - you can then select the picture box and alter the size to suit. Choose one of the icons eg the postcard for a picture and select and then just insert the picture you want. You then just select the new slide button from the tool bar on the top right and off you go again. The bar on the left which shows the slides you've created also lets you left click on the slides and drag them to whatever position you want. Hope that helps you get started and cuts down on the confusion !0
