As a novice buyer I would love some advice please .
I placed & paid for an item on 21st February .
The delivery cost was £2.25 for a cotton dress.
The seller is UK based and the feedback looks good but I am still waiting for my item ?
Should I contact the seller ? or just wait .
Is a week reasonable ?
Thank You.

It depends on the listing and what you paid for.
Next day
First class
Second class
Look at the listing. What is the dispatch/delvery estimate of the item?
I would contact the seller 2 to 3 days after the estimated delivery date.0 -
As above, it depends on what delivery method the seller uses. Also, what day did they dispatch? Did you get a 'your item has been dispatched' email?
I would normally drop them an email 7 days after the dispatch date if it was sent 1st class.0 -
I sell quite a lot of stuff on ebay and generally put in the listings when a buyer should expect delivery. I ask my buyers to allow 5 workings days after payment has cleared for the item to be posted out and a maximum of 3 workings days after that for delivery, although alternative and quicker postage options are available if selected.
This system allows me to use the cheapest postage options as standard and enough leeway in the schedule for unforseen delays (such as sick children, etc). However, most of my items are posted within 24 hours and received within 2 days.
As this auction finished just over a week ago I would email the seller to check on what day the item was posted just so that you are not hanging around the letter box every day. They should at least give you some idea of when it is due out of courtesy.
And if it turns up then let them know. Good luck!0 -
Look at 'view order datails' and it will tell you when the item should arrive. You should not be contacting the seller before that date - as that is the delivery time you agreed to when you bought it.0
